    Description

    Pre-Glued Dowel Pins
Pre-Glued Dowel Pins are the industry standard. The white birch pins are coated with an uncatalyzed, water-activated, PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) glue. A uniform coating process is essential to customer success in using this product. Avoid inferior imitations where the glue is poorly dispersed on the pin and parts of the wood dowel are visible. These Pre-Glued Dowel Pins' glue is generously and evenly coated to ensure a stronger bond.
    Size

    Applications
Pre-Glued Dowel Pins may be used in a variety of applications. These pins are predominantly sold to the casegood/cabinetry, framed/upholstered furniture, drawer box, and interior raised panel door industries. The Pre-Glued Dowel Pin is not suitable for exterior applications.
Pre-Glued Dowel Pins are very simple and convenient to use. Simply spray water into the boring and insert the pin. Do not dip or soak the pins. The amount of water necessary will depend upon the type of material you are joining.
Particle/MDF core users should use just enough water to moisten the boring, while hardwood/plywood users should employ more. Those that are hand-inserting may use something as simple as a spray bottle, plant mister, etc. Those that are automatically inserting should remove all residual glue from the delivery system and reduce the pot pressure and/or delivery time. If the automatic inserter has trouble achieving proper delivery, try reducing the orifice size. Drying time depends upon a number of variables such as amount of water used, type of material, and environmental factors.
Users are encouraged to perform their own trials to determine the method that best suits their specific applications.
