    Description

    Small bag woven on a loom for ritual use to contain coca leaves and other herbs. It is worn across the body, on the shoulder or hanging from the neck. The later Inca chuspas have woven straps on the face of the weft.Chuspa is a woven bag decorated with drawings that the Incas used to store coca. It was square and used to be half a span long. They carried her to the right side, hanging from a ribbon called tisno, about two fingers wide, which she mounted on the left shoulder and at the junction with the chuspa she made tassels. It is said that this chuspa is made on a loom by the artisans of Cusco in the city of Pisa
